Global child abuse crackdown exposes dark web, crypto, and AI threats
Bangladesh, July 9 -- The recent multinational operation that led to the arrest of 28 suspects involved in child sexual exploitation is an encouraging reminder that international cooperation can produce meaningful results against one of the worlds most abhorrent crimes. Coordinated by Europol and led by Norwegian authorities, the operation brought together investigators from Canada, Czechia, Germany, Norway, Poland, Sweden, and Switzerland. Their efforts resulted in the rescue of three children, the seizure of hundreds of pieces of evidence, and the disruption of networks allegedly using cryptocurrency and the dark web to access child sexual abuse material.
