Bangladesh, June 20 -- The discovery of millions of dollars worth of European industrial equipment reaching Russias defense sector through a Turkish intermediary has renewed concerns about the effectiveness of international sanctions imposed following Moscows full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Trade records reviewed by investigative journalists indicate that a Turkey-based company with European ownership exported sophisticated machinery to key Russian metallurgical enterprises linked to the countrys military-industrial complex, raising questions about enforcement gaps and the use of third-country intermediaries to circumvent restrictions.
