Bangladesh, June 9 -- British authorities are seeking to freeze approximately $68 million worth of luxury London real estate owned by Yuan Yihua, a China-born businessman with multiple citizenships, in a move that underscores the United Kingdoms increasingly aggressive approach to combating suspected economic crime and recovering illicit assets.

According to records from the UKs Land Registry, prosecutors have requested freezing orders on a portfolio of properties purchased by Yuan Yihua across some of Londons most exclusive neighborhoods.
