Bangladesh, Aug. 31 -- Bangladeshs Hindu community is facing a worsening climate of fear, intimidation and insecurity, according to Supreme Court lawyer and Hindu rights activist Advocate Chaitali Chakraborty, who has warned that continued violence and institutional weakness could drive increasing numbers of Hindus out of the country.

In an interview with internationally acclaimed journalist and Blitz editor Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury on August 30, Chakraborty described what she characterized as a rapidly deteriorating environment for religious minorities since the political upheaval of August 5, 2024.
