Pakyong, Aug. 22 -- Sikkim has gained national recognition in the field of education since Sushma Tamang, a Post Graduate Teacher of Chemistry at the PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School in Dikling, in the Pakyong District, has been chosen for the National Teachers' Award 2026.

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) conveyed his congratulations to the educator on her achievement and referred to her selection as a source of great pride for Sikkim, highlighting it as an acknowledgement of her dedication to teaching, academic excellence and the holistic development of students.
