Gangtok, March 30 -- In response to prevailing geopolitical situations impacting the national availability and distribution of LPG, the Government of Sikkim's Food & Civil Supplies Department has announced the immediate establishment of State and District Control Rooms. This proactive measure aims to ensure effective monitoring, smooth coordination, and timely grievance redressal for residents across the state.

To prevent hoarding and panic buying, the government has also rolled out new standard operating procedures for LPG distribution. Under the new guidelines, registered domestic LPG consumers will receive refills once every 25 days in urban areas and once every 45 days in rural areas.
