Gangtok, Aug. 21 -- The Bike Rental Association of Sikkim (BROS) has welcomed the Sikkim government's efforts to provide greater clarity on the proposed permit regulations, saying clear and practical rules are important for bike rental operators, riders and the state's tourism industry.

The association expressed appreciation to the Government of Sikkim for taking note of concerns raised by tourism stakeholders and providing further clarification on the proposed framework.

The development comes amid wider discussions over the state government's proposed AI-powered Integrated Online Permit System, which seeks to bring different tourism-related permit processes onto a technology-driven platform.
