India, March 31 -- Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) is modernising its transport network using Ciena's WaveLogic 6 Extreme (WL6e) coherent optical technology, deployed on the 6500 platform. The upgrade is aimed at strengthening the operator's ability to meet rising bandwidth demand in India and expand opportunities with hyperscalers, neoscalers and enterprise customers.
