India, June 12 -- Vodafone Idea (Vi) has expanded its 5G footprint in Punjab with the launch of services in Ludhiana, Jalandhar and Patiala, as the telecom operator continues efforts to strengthen its next-generation network presence in key markets.

The company said it also plans to extend 5G coverage to Amritsar by June 2026, building on its existing rollout in parts of the city, including the Golden Temple area. The latest expansion reflects Vi's broader strategy to improve network availability in urban centres with high data demand and dense consumer activity.

The rollout adds three of Punjab's major cities to Vi's growing 5G network map, following earlier launches in Chandigarh, Mohali, Kharar and Zirakpur. With the planned expansio...
