India, March 5 -- Vodafone Idea (Vi) has launched its 5G services at the Golden Temple, expanding its 5G coverage in the state of Punjab. The rollout is intended to support high-speed mobile connectivity in an area that receives more than 150,000 visitors each day.
The Golden Temple, one of the most visited religious sites in the world and home to the largest community kitchen, known as Langar, experiences heavy footfall throughout the day. This results in significant demand for mobile data within a concentrated area.
