India, Oct. 9 -- Vi Business, the enterprise arm of Vodafone Idea (Vi), has partnered with Hindalco Industries to deploy a dedicated private network at the Baphlimali bauxite mine in Odisha's Rayagada district. The deployment will provide connectivity for digital mining applications, including worker safety, fleet management, surveillance and real-time monitoring.

The multi-year managed services agreement marks Hindalco's first private network deployment. The network is intended to support the company's Industry 4.0 initiatives by providing secure and reliable connectivity across the mining site.
