TakeMe2Space sets 2 October launch for in-orbit AI computing
India, Oct. 1 -- TakeMe2Space is scheduled to launch its MOI-1A satellite aboard SpaceX's Transporter-18 rideshare mission on 2 October. The mission will allow customers to run AI models on Earth observation data in orbit, processing imagery before transmitting the resulting insights to the ground.
The 14kg satellite carries 117 trillion operations per second (TOPS) of onboard computing capacity, 2TB of storage and a nine-band multispectral imager. The combination is intended to reduce the need to transmit large volumes of raw imagery to Earth for processing, with potential applications including agricultural monitoring, mining and supply-chain intelligence.
