India, May 7 -- At the SelectUSA Investment Summit, Sterlite Technologies announced plans to invest up to USD 100 million in the United States to expand its connectivity solutions business, including the production of terminated optical fibre cables.

The investment is expected to strengthen the company's manufacturing capacity for AI data centres and telecommunications customers in the US. It is also expected to create between 400 and 500 jobs.

SelectUSA is the US federal programme responsible for promoting and facilitating business investment into the country.

The four-day SelectUSA Investment Summit brings together multinational companies and US economic development organisations to support investment and job creation.
