India, Sept. 10 -- The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, on Thursday, called for international cooperation, sustainable use of space, and adherence to international law as satellite orbits become increasingly crowded, while inviting France and other countries to participate in India's future space programmes.

Addressing the first International Space Summit in Paris by video conference, Modi said the growing number of actors and increasingly powerful technologies required countries to prioritise cooperation over confrontation.
