India, Aug. 26 -- Singapore Telecommunications (Singtel) is reportedly seeking to enter India's satellite communications market, adding another international player to an increasingly competitive space that already includes Bharti Airtel, Elon Musk's Starlink, Reliance Jio and Amazon.

As per media reports, Singtel said it is in the process of obtaining approvals from Indian authorities to allow its Indian subsidiary, Singapore Telecom India Private (STIPL), to provide satellite services directly in the country. The company's move comes as India's regulatory framework for satellite communications continues to take shape.
