India, July 28 -- Spanish satellite Internet of Things (IoT) operator Sateliot has established an Indian subsidiary as it prepares to enter one of the world's fastest-growing IoT markets. The company is positioning India as a priority market for its Low Earth Orbit (LEO)-based narrowband IoT (NB-IoT) connectivity services, targeting sectors such as agriculture, transport, mining and utilities.

The move comes as India continues to develop its satellite communications ecosystem and regulatory framework under the Telecommunications Act, 2023, while demand for connected devices and machine-to-machine (M2M) applications continues to rise.
