India, April 14 -- Users of 4G-enabled feature phones have traditionally been unable to access mobile banking applications, a limitation that has restricted digital banking adoption among this segment. This is now beginning to change for subscribers of the JioPhone Prima 4G, a feature phone with a physical keypad designed for affordability.
Recognising this gap, Reliance Jio has partnered with Bank of Baroda to introduce a banking application tailored specifically for feature phone users. The app, called "bob World Lite", has been developed for the JioPhone Prima 4G, enabling users of the device to access basic digital banking services.
