Reliance and Meta partner on AI-focused data centre in Gujarat
India, June 11 -- Reliance Industries and Meta have partnered to develop a large-scale data centre in Jamnagar, Gujarat, marking a significant step in the expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in India.
The proposed facility, designed with a planned capacity of 168 megawatts (MW), will support high-performance AI computing requirements and is expected to be completed within the next two years. Under the arrangement, Reliance will build and operate the facility, while Meta will lease capacity for its operations.
The project will represent Meta's first built-to-suit data centre in India, with Reliance responsible for the facility's design, construction, management, and ongoing operations.
