India, Sept. 24 -- Qualcomm has introduced two new flagship mobile platforms, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, putting on-device agentic AI, heterogeneous compute and next-generation connectivity at the centre of its latest smartphone silicon architecture.

Unveiled on 22 September 2026, the platforms are built on a 2nm process and combine Qualcomm's Oryon CPU, Adreno GPU and Hexagon NPU with the company's latest modem-RF and wireless connectivity systems. Qualcomm is positioning the two platforms as the computing foundation for smartphones that can increasingly process AI workloads locally rather than relying exclusively on cloud infrastructure.
