India, Oct. 9 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has used the 10th edition of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 to underline the role of digital infrastructure in expanding access to technology, strengthening governance and supporting the next phase of India's digital economy.

Inaugurating IMC 2026 at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi on 8 October, Modi highlighted the transformation of India's telecommunications sector over the past decade, pointing to the expansion of 5G, lower data costs, domestic technology manufacturing and the growing use of mobile connectivity for public services.
