Pankaj Mohan Pawar takes over as CEO of Jio Platforms ahead of IPO
India, July 14 -- Pankaj Mohan Pawar has taken charge as Chief Executive Officer of Jio Platforms at a significant stage in the company's evolution, with the digital services and technology arm of Reliance Industries preparing for a proposed public listing and expanding its ambitions across artificial intelligence, cloud and enterprise services.
The leadership change was disclosed in the draft red herring prospectus (DRHP) filed by Jio Platforms for its proposed initial public offering. According to the filing, former CEO Kiran Thomas stepped down from the role on 23 March 2026, with Pawar assuming charge the following day.
