India, Oct. 14 -- Bharti Enterprises Founder and Chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal said Eutelsat OneWeb is awaiting final security clearances to launch satellite broadband services in India, despite having applied for regulatory approvals five years ago and having its ground infrastructure ready for the past three years.

He was speaking at a panel discussion at the Bloomberg New Economy Forum on Wednesday.

Responding to a question from Francine Lacqua, Editor-at-Large at Bloomberg Television, about Elon Musk taking a shot at Indian telecom billionaires, Mittal said his company was also awaiting regulatory approvals.
