India, Sept. 24 -- The Odisha government has approved 27 major investment proposals worth a combined Rs 2,47,115.70 crore across 15 districts, with data centres, artificial intelligence (AI), power infrastructure, semiconductors and advanced manufacturing accounting for a significant share of the proposed investment.

The projects were cleared at the 46th meeting of the High-Level Clearance Authority (HLCA), chaired by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, and have a potential to generate 50,162 jobs. The proposals span data centres and AI, power and renewable energy, steel, semiconductors, green hydrogen, lab-grown diamonds, healthcare, chemicals, textiles, shipbuilding and other manufacturing segments.
