NXP's UWB technology to support BMW's in-cabin presence detection
India, Aug. 4 -- NXP Semiconductors has announced that its Trimension NCJ29D6 ultra-wideband (UWB) technology will be deployed in BMW Group vehicles, starting with selected 2026 vehicle programmes.
The NCJ29D6 is an automotive UWB solution designed to combine secure fine-ranging with short-range radar capabilities on a single chip. The technology is intended to support applications including in-cabin presence detection and digital vehicle access.
