India, July 21 -- NXP Semiconductors has introduced the SAF9800, an automotive audio and radio processor that combines analogue radio reception and AI-enabled audio processing into a single chip. The new processor is designed to help vehicle manufacturers simplify infotainment system architectures while supporting software-defined vehicle platforms.

According to NXP, integrating multiple functions into a single processor can reduce system complexity and allow automakers to deploy common hardware across different vehicle models while enabling feature upgrades through software.
