India, May 6 -- Nokia Federal Solutions, the US government-focused arm of Nokia, and Lockheed Martin have announced a new modular, open-architecture 5G solution designed for US and allied defence forces.

The platform is intended to provide secure and resilient communications in operational environments. It enables military vehicles and platforms to use commercial-grade 5G connectivity while aligning with Department of War (DoW) open architecture standards and its commercial-first strategy.
