India, Sept. 13 -- The BRICS New Delhi Declaration has identified telecommunications, digital infrastructure, satellite technologies, and network resilience as areas for deeper cooperation among member countries, with a focus on submarine cable connectivity, future networks, digital public infrastructure, and space systems.

Issued at the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi, the declaration identified digital and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) ecosystems as critical foundations for economic development, social inclusion, resilience and innovation.

It also called for cooperation towards sovereign and self-reliant digital ecosystems, alongside resilient, safe, secure, inclusive and interoperable digital public infrastructure.
