India, March 27 -- NetApp and Elastio have announced a collaboration aimed at strengthening enterprise cyber resilience by extending security measures beyond production systems into backup and recovery data.

The move addresses a growing concern in cybersecurity: ransomware that infiltrates production environments undetected and persists within snapshots and backups. Such threats are increasingly designed to evade traditional prevention tools, remaining dormant until they reach recovery data, where they can compromise restoration efforts.
