India, Aug. 6 -- Mumbai has entered the world's top 15 data centre markets by operational IT capacity, while Hyderabad is emerging as a high-growth market with a sizeable development pipeline, according to Knight Frank's Global Data Centre Atlas 2026.

Mumbai ranks 15th globally by live IT capacity, with 774 MW of operational capacity, and 11th by pipeline capacity at nearly 5 GW. Hyderabad ranks 27th by live capacity, at 151 MW, but stands 19th globally by pipeline capacity, with 2.27 GW under development or planned.
