India, Sept. 14 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi has warned that the weaponisation of technology and critical minerals could impede shared progress, as BRICS countries seek to strengthen supply-chain resilience, access to technology and cooperation on emerging technologies.

Addressing the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi on 13 September, Modi placed technology access alongside supply-chain resilience as economies contend with geopolitical tensions, pandemics, climate-related disasters and other disruptions.
