India, March 24 -- Mobile connectivity on Mumbai's underground Metro Line 3 faces the risk of a complete shutdown after the Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MMRCL) terminated its agreement with ACES India, the firm responsible for providing shared telecom infrastructure along the corridor.

The move follows a prolonged pricing dispute between ACES India and telecom operators, which had already resulted in patchy network coverage across the Aarey-Cuffe Parade stretch. With the contract now cancelled, there are concerns that the company may dismantle its installed infrastructure, potentially leaving the entire underground route without mobile services.
