India, Sept. 23 -- The India South Central region is Microsoft's fourth cloud region in India, alongside its existing regions in Pune, Chennai and Mumbai. The Hyderabad region is built around a three-zone architecture designed to provide resilience and support additional capacity as demand increases. Microsoft said further Azure and AI services will be introduced progressively.

The company said its cloud regions across India are now equipped with AI-capable hardware, high-efficiency cooling systems and the infrastructure foundation required to support advanced AI workloads. This marks a shift from treating AI capacity as an additional cloud service towards integrating AI-readiness into the underlying data centre infrastructure.
