India, July 27 -- Reliance Jio is exploring intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) technology as part of its indigenous 6G research, aiming to improve mobile coverage in areas where conventional radio signals struggle to reach. The technology, showcased at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, forms part of the operator's broader efforts to develop next-generation network capabilities as the industry transitions from 5G towards 6G.
