India, June 1 -- Reliance Jio, India's largest telecom operator, is increasingly emerging as more than just a connectivity provider. As of March 31, 2026, the company had filed a total of 6,817 patent applications globally, according to the latest annual report of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). Of these, 2,393 patents were filed in India, while 4,424 were submitted across international markets, reflecting Jio's growing technological ambitions beyond the domestic telecom sector.
