India, Oct. 21 -- Jio Platforms' Rs 30,213-crore initial public offering (IPO) attracted bids worth more than Rs 50,000 crore on its opening day on 21 October 2026, after becoming fully subscribed within 100 minutes. The response was led by institutional investors, although retail demand remained below the shares reserved for that category by mid-afternoon.

The offering is set to become India's largest IPO by value, surpassing Hyundai Motor India's Rs 27,870-crore issue in 2024. It also marks a major public-market milestone for Reliance Industries' digital business, which has expanded from mobile connectivity into broadband, enterprise services, cloud computing and artificial intelligence (AI).
