India, July 8 -- Entry-level prepaid plans continue to appeal to users looking for basic connectivity with voice calling, SMS and a limited amount of mobile data without committing to higher monthly spending. Both Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea offer prepaid plans priced at Rs 189, although the benefits differ in a few key areas.

Jio's Rs 189 prepaid plan comes with 2GB of bundled data for the entire validity period, unlimited voice calls and 300 SMS. The pack remains valid for 28 days.

Once the included data allowance is exhausted, internet speeds are reduced to 64 Kbps. Subscribers also receive access to JioTV and JioAICloud services as part of the recharge.
