India, June 16 -- As telecom networks evolve beyond traditional mobile infrastructure, industry experts at India Space Congress 2026 said the future of connectivity will increasingly depend on the integration of terrestrial and satellite systems to deliver more resilient, seamless and wider network coverage.

During a session titled "Integrating 5G/6G with NTN: Building Hybrid Terrestrial-Satellite Networks", panellists explored how Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), communications delivered through satellites and airborne platforms, could complement 5G and future 6G ecosystems.
