India, Aug. 26 -- India Post has rolled out upgraded versions of its Dak MITRA and Dak Sewa mobile applications and inaugurated 14 renovated Post Office buildings as part of efforts to modernise postal service delivery and strengthen digital and physical infrastructure.

The initiatives were launched on 24 August by Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern Region Jyotiraditya M Scindia and Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani. The Department of Posts said the measures are intended to improve access to services, support last-mile delivery and make postal transactions more accessible to citizens.
