India, Aug. 10 -- India is seeking to strengthen the security and resilience of its telecom networks along international borders, with new monitoring infrastructure being developed to detect cross-border interference and signal spillage in strategic areas.

The Parliamentary Committee on Public Undertakings, in its 33rd report on actions taken by the government, has asked the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) to fast-track the signal-spillage monitoring project, which remains at the pilot stage, and set a clear timeline for full-scale deployment.
