India, June 18 -- Telecommunications infrastructure provider HFCL has secured a contract worth approximately Rs 2,666.09 crore from Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) for the implementation of the BharatNet Phase-III project in western Uttar Pradesh, further strengthening its presence in India's rural digital connectivity programme.

According to the company's regulatory filing, the contract covers the supply, installation and commissioning of telecom equipment and associated accessories, the creation of an Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) network, and long-term maintenance of the network infrastructure.
