India, Sept. 24 -- Gujarat's Rs 5,700-crore BharatNet programme is facing uncertainty over eligibility conditions in the latest tender, with Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) raising concerns about the financial qualification requirements for project implementing agencies.

According to media reports, the issue centres on a requirement in the Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by Gujarat Fibre Grid Network Limited (GFGNL) that bidders must have an audited average annual turnover of Rs 4,700 crore over the previous three financial years.
