India, Sept. 29 -- Ericsson has signed separate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Japanese technology companies Murata Manufacturing and Sumitomo Electric Industries to explore technologies for next-generation mobile network infrastructure, with a focus on improving network performance and energy efficiency as telecom moves towards 6G and AI-native networks.

The partnerships bring together Ericsson's RAN and system-level expertise with the component and technology capabilities of the two Japanese companies. The collaborations will include technology evaluations, knowledge exchange and proof-of-concept activities aimed at developing future radio access network solutions for Japan and international markets.
