India, Aug. 5 -- Ericsson has appointed Randeep Raina as Head of its Customer Unit for Vodafone Idea (Vi), as the telecom equipment maker continues its engagement with the operator on network development and digital services.

Based in Mumbai, Raina brings more than 27 years of experience across technology, sales, strategy and business development. He will report to Andres Vicente, CEO of Ericsson's Market Area Southeast Asia, Oceania and India, and will join the regional leadership team. Raina succeeds Krishna Patil, who has been appointed Executive Advisor to Vicente.
