India, July 17 -- Engineering company embedUR Systems has spun off its Edge AI business, ModelNova, as an independent company focused on software tools and production-ready artificial intelligence (AI) models for deploying them on resource-constrained edge devices.

The company said ModelNova aims to address one of the key challenges in Edge AI adoption: optimising trained AI models for deployment across multiple semiconductor platforms with limited compute, memory and power budgets.

ModelNova's offerings include an open-source library of pre-trained AI models, a development platform for model optimisation and deployment, and production-ready AI models that can be licensed for commercial use.
