Data sovereignty in India faces a readiness gap: Everpure
India, Sept. 30 -- Data sovereignty is emerging as a board-level business risk for enterprises, but organisations are struggling to translate that concern into operational preparedness. According to Everpure's Global Data Sovereignty Report 2026, 57% of Indian organisations do not have a formal data sovereignty strategy, compared with 64% globally.
The findings are based on a survey of 2,100 enterprise leaders across eight markets, including 300 respondents in India. The research examines how organisations are responding to risks around data access, control, geopolitical disruption and evolving regulatory requirements.
