Airtel's FY26 results show India's telecom battle Is moving beyond connectivity
India, May 14 -- Bharti Airtel closed FY26 with strong quarterly growth across mobile, broadband, enterprise and digital infrastructure businesses, but the company's latest results also reveal a broader shift underway in India's telecom market: operators are increasingly positioning themselves as digital infrastructure providers rather than pure connectivity companies.
For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Airtel reported consolidated revenues of Rs 55,383 crore, up 15.7 per cent year-on-year. Consolidated EBITDA rose to Rs 32,038 crore, with margins improving to 57.8 per cent, while net profit before exceptional items increased to Rs 7,245 crore from Rs 5,223 crore a year earlier.
