India, April 7 -- In the past year, Bharti Airtel has expanded its 5G network to nearly 4,300 additional locations across Uttar Pradesh East, extending coverage to 48 districts and reaching an estimated 34 million people. The expansion comes at a time when mobile data consumption in India continues to grow, placing greater demand on faster and more reliable networks.

Unlike conventional rollout announcements that emphasise coverage milestones, Airtel's approach in the region appears to prioritise network densification. The operator has been adding an average of 12 sites per day, focusing on increasing capacity in high-traffic areas while improving signal quality in underserved pockets.
