India, Aug. 26 -- Indian service providers are increasingly looking at AI not only as a source of new enterprise demand but also as a driver for the next round of network investment. A Ciena survey of 100 service providers in India shows that the monetisation of AI services is closely tied to upgrades in optical infrastructure, network automation and distributed compute connectivity.

The findings suggest that the shift towards AI-led enterprise services could create a new business case for network investments, particularly as operators look beyond connectivity towards edge computing, multi-cloud services and infrastructure supporting distributed AI workloads.
