India, Oct. 7 -- Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasing pressure on enterprise networks, edge infrastructure and hybrid technology estates, challenging the earlier assumption that modernisation would progressively consolidate workloads onto fewer platforms.

Eight in ten organisations, or 82%, said AI was increasing their network architecture requirements, according to Kyndryl's State of Modernization Report 2026. Nearly half (49%) cited scaling AI as a reason for modernising network architecture, tied with better integration of security and connectivity.
