AI agent security: India faces gaps in runtime access controls
India, Oct. 1 -- Artificial Intelligence (AI) agents are gaining privileged access across enterprise digital infrastructure, but organisations are struggling to control what these agents can do once inside development pipelines, cloud-native environments and other enterprise systems, according to Delinea's 2026 Identity Security Report: The AI Enforcement Gap.
In India, only 43% of organisations surveyed said they could enforce AI access at the point of action within Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. At the same time, 45% said some AI-agent credentials remain active until the next audit, even after the task for which they were issued has ended.
